PM Oli directs security bodies and civil servants to remain active to make upcoming election successful
January 22, Kathmandu: PM KP Sharma Oli has urged all security bodies, civil servants and public to remain active to make the upcoming lection successful to defend the democracy and keep Nepal’s glorious history intact.
Addressing a programme organized to mark 20th Armed Police Force Day at Halchok on Friday, PM Oli directed the security body to ensure the upcoming election free, fair, and credible saying elections are an integral part of democratic practice.
The PM said in the phase of the election would be held in Province 2, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpashim province and in the second phase the elections would be held in Province 1, Bagmati and Karnali Province.
At the same time, the PM lauded the roles played by the Armed Police force in rescue and rehabilitation during disasters.
PM Oli also announced that the anti-covid-19 vaccine received from India would be rolled out from 27th of January. He further said the movement has been working to manage the necessary amount vaccines for all as soon as possible. Saying vaccine procurement may take a couple of months, the PM urged all to adopt safety precautions.
Also speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa directed the Armed Police Force to work in coordination with other security bodies to ensure law and order in the country. At the programme, Armed Police Force Inspector General Shailendra Khanal present the work Plan and activity the organization.
