Identity card to farmers soon: Minister Aryal

January 19, Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Padma Kumari Aryal has said farmers would be provided identity card showing their category.

At a programme organized with office bearers of All Nepal Women Association and women representatives in the federal capital on Monday, Minister Aryal said the Ministry would categorize farmers and run agriculture programmes by providing them identity cards.

Minister Aryal added the scheme would be intensified after a month.

She said the Ministry also forwarded the process to ensure availability of chemical fertilizer.

The Ministry asked the local levels across the country to inform about the demand for chemical fertilizers by mid-February.

On the occasion, Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Bimala BK, said her ministry would facilitate the programmes to be run for women.
