Ageing Nepal wins UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize 2020

January 19, Kathmandu: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Krishna Gopal Shrestha on Monday handed the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize 2020 to Ageing Nepal.

Minister Shrestha handed over the medal of the prize to President of Ageing Nepal, Krishna Murari Gautam (a.k.a Chatyang Master), amidst a programme at the Ministry on Monday.

Head of UNESCO, Kathmandu, Christine Manhart presented the Award certificate.

The Prize carries a purse of 20 thousand US Dollars.

Minister Shrestha said Nepal’s name had been further highlighted throughout the world with the organisation winning the prize.
