Election Commission presents annual report to President

January 18, Kathmandu: The Election Commission has submitted its annual report for the fiscal year, 2019/20 to President Bidya Devi Bhandari today.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya presented the report amid a function at the President’s Office in Sheetal Niwas.

Receiving the report, President Bhandari suggested the commission to expedite the preparation works to ensure the maximum number of voters’ participation in the upcoming elections. The president also suggested the commission to make the booths and voting centers, voter-friendly.

Stating that the preparations from the Election commission are positive, President Bhandari believed that the commission would be able to hold free, fair, trustworthy and safe elections.
