Three died in a road accident in Solukhumbu

January 18, Solukhumbu: At least three persons have died when a Truck met with an accident at Mahadev cliff on the border of Solu Dudhkunda municipality and Necha Salyan rural municipality of Solukhumbu district.

The accident occurred at around 11.30 pm on Sunday.

Police said the vehicle carrying construction materials of the Dudhkoshi Solukhola (86-MW) hydropower project fell down some 300 meters off the cliff.

The District Police Office Solukhumbu informed that those deceased were identified as Kamal Magar, 33, of Dhading district,  Ramkumar Magar, 33, of Hetauda, and Krishna Chaudhary, 19, of Saptari district.

One critically injured Ramesh Magar, 27, of Hetauda has been taken to the Faplu-based district hospital for treatment.
