Joint Commission meeting concludes with the determination to resolve Indo-Nepal border issues

January 16, Kathmandu: The sixth meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission concluded on Friday with the commitment to complete the remaining works related to Indo-Nepal border.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), border issues were discussed in the delegation meeting led by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Minister for External Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and the meeting had concluded to resolve the issues.
Similarly, the meeting held discussions on trade and transit expansion, 1950 treaty, development partnership in energy projects, partnership in infrastructure development, procurement of Covid-19 vaccine, presentation of Eminent Persons Group’s report and expansion of bilateral connectivity network.
Similarly, other agendas including investment-friendly cooperation, bilateral cooperation in agriculture, partnership in tourism, and cultural cooperation between the two countries were be also discussed in the meeting
