World Bank projects Nepal’s economic growth rate at 0.6 %

Washington, D.C., January 6: The World Bank has projected Nepal’s economic growth rate at 0.6 % during the current fiscal year.

Releasing the Global Economic Prospect 2021 on Tuesday, the World Bank said Nepal would see the lower economic growth rate due to adverse impact on industries and overall economy of the country caused by lock-downs imposed to contain the corona virus infection.

The Prospect has mentioned that Nepal saw economic growth rate at  just 0.2 % in the previous fiscal year and this fiscal will see some improvement in the economy.
