90 people donate plasma

January 6, Chitwan: The Corona Plasma Bank run by the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre, Bharatpur is providing plasma to needy COVID-19  patients.

The centre has been collecting plasma from volunteers and has sent it to various places including Kathmandu, Bhairahawa and Kapilvastu.  A total of 90 persons have donated plasma in the centre.

Centre chief  Ramesh Kanta Poudel has informed  of the collected blood plasma, 35 are of O positive group, 25 of A positive,  10 of AB positive , 25  of B Positive and one of AB negative.

Plasma, collected from the patients who have recovered from COVID-19  has been proved helpful for infected people to fight the infection.
