Ministry of Health urges everyone to adopt caution, as pollution in the capital increases

January 6, Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged people in the Kathmandu valley not to come out of their homes, stating that the increased pollution would cause adverse effects on human health.
The Ministry’s Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit has appealed all citizens to adopt caution, saying that the increased population since the last few days could cause respiratory and other ailments.
The Ministry in a statement on Tuesday urged people not to go for a morning walk or outdoor exercise, not to burn the waste, not to come out of the homes, wear masks, and follow the COVID-19 health safety protocols.
The Ministry has also urged the construction entrepreneurs to postpone works that cause dust and smoke.
