Communications Minister urges media to disseminate positive message

 January 4, Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Parbat Gurung, has urged the media to disseminate positive messages to the society. During a meeting with office-bearers of Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists at Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Gurung said that the media should play significant roles to create new hope in the Country.

Minister Gurung said the professional journalism could be fulfilled only with the vision of moving the society towards right direction.

On the occasion, Federation submitted an 11-point memorandum to Minister Gurung, demanding to make the state-owned media more inclusive. In response, Minister Gurung clarified that no discrimination would be allowed as the state is common to all.
