U.S. donates 100 ventilators to help Nepal in its fight against the coronavirus
Kathmandu- The Government of the United States of America, via the US Agency for International Development (USAID), has donated 100 ventilators to the Government of Nepal (GoN) to help in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.Receiving the ventilators on Friday, Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal extended regards to the U.S. government saying it was supporting Nepal even during such difficult times.
Handing the ventilators, U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry said that the United States remained committed to its partnership with Nepal through the best and worst of times.
With these ventilators, we want to help health institutions and families be better prepared to help those that are the most affected by COVID-19,” the U.S. Ambassador said.
