ID Cards for financially improvised families by the current fiscal year : F.M. Poudel
Kathmandu – The Ministry of Finance and The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation have decided to complete the work of identifying poor households and distributing identity cards within the current fiscal year.
During a meeting held at the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, it was decided to make necessary arrangement to complete the task of identifying and distributing by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, while the Finance Ministry would make arrangement of needed additional resources
The meeting also concluded that the Land Management Ministry would prepare a schedule within a week to identify the poor households and to distribute ID cards.
Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said that problem surfaced to run relief and subsidy related programmes from the government’s side due to lack of record of poor families.
Poudel expressed the belief that the poor identity card would help poor families in different activities like employment and social security.t
