Constitution Day being celebrated today

Kathmandu: The Constitution Day is being marked on Saturday. The Constitution Day is also regarded as the National Day.
The Constitution Day is observed every year on 3rd of the Nepali month Asoj to commemorate the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal through Constituent Assembly on September 20, 2015.
Saturday also marks the completion of 5 years since the promulgation of the Constitution.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended best wishes to all Nepalese living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Constitution Day. In a message of best wishes on Saturday, the head of the state has stated that a great responsibility was on the shoulder to lead the nation towards prosperity with social justice as the phase of fighting for political rights was completed. This day will inspire all the representative bodies, political parties and state organs to implement the constitutional values and spirit of the constitution
President Bhandari also expressed her best wishes on the occasion of the Constitution Day and National Day to achieve citizens’ interests and the country’s prosperity through the implementation of the constitution.
The President has also urged to one and all to make their honest and earnest efforts to translate the letter and spirit of the constitution into practice.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed the confidence that remaining tasks of the constitution’s implementation would be fulfilled in a timely manner. In a message of best wishes on Saturday, the VP said that this day would give inspiration to all Nepali for the complete implementation of the constitution

Expressing heartfelt condolence to all the martyrs of people’s movement, armed struggles, People’s War and the historical movement of 2006 for their sacrifices to meet the people’s expectations, Vice President Pun has congratulated to all Nepalis on this glorious day for getting federal democratic republic, secularism and proportional inclusiveness with social justice.
