One killed in landslide

A person died when a landslide swept him away in Palpa district on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Aryal, 30, of Rambha rural municipality-1, according to the District Police Office, Palpa.

Ward chairperson Krishna Regmi said that the incident took place when a landslide occurred near Batasekhola swept him away when he had gone to his farm on Monday night to stop the damages at his farm caused by a landslide following incessant rainfall. The landslide had swept away Aryal some 10 meters away.
