Thakur Prasad Gyawali appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police

The government has promoted DIG Thakur Prasad Gyawali to the post of Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP).

A Cabinet meeting held yesterday endorsed the proposal tabled by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa.

Ministry of Home Affairs informed about the promotion of Thakur Gynwali as the new IGP.

The new IGP Gyawali has been promoted a day before the retirement of the incumbent IGP Sarbendra Khanal.

Before having been appointed to IGP, Gyanwali was the head of Nepal police in Province 1.
