Maximum precaution to prevent Corona Virus spreading in Nepal

Concerned stakeholders have urged to adopt maximum precaution to prevent Corona Virus from spreading in Nepal.
Speaking at a face to face programme organized at the Reporters Club in Kathmandu on Saturday, Health and Population Ministry Spokesperson Mahendra Shrestha said Corona Virus is a communicable disease and all should remain alert. However there was no need to panic. Saying there are 3-4% death reported from the virus infection, Spokesperson Shrestha said there was a need to remain alert when a new disease spreads in a neighboring country.
He also clarified that although one students returning from China had been infected with the virus, there was no immediate risk of virus epidemic. Meantime, Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital Director Dr. Basu Dev Pandey said if anyone has doubt about Corona Virus infection following common cold, they could visit the hospital as the hospital had been offering free check up.
Also speaking on the occasion, Infectious Disease Expert Dr. Sher Bahadur Pun suggested consuming meat after cooking it well as the Corona virus transmits from animals to humans.
