Meteorological Forecasting division forecast rainfall across the country

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted rain and snowfall in different parts of the country, today.

Different parts of the country that witnessed rain and snowfall last week are again likely to receive rain and snow due to the effects of the westerly winds.

The division said that most parts of the country would remain partly to fully cloudy today resulting in moderate snowfall in the high hills and mountain regions while light rain will occur in the western hills.

Most of the parts in the country including Kathmandu valley would witness light rain and the high hills and Himalayan belt snowfall today and Tomorrow, the division said.

The effects of the westerly wind would prevail till Saturday.

The Division forecasted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the central and western regions and brief rain is possible at a few places of the eastern region. And Chances of light to moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region.

According to the Division, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu was 6.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 16. 5 degrees Celsius. Likewise, the lowest recorded temperature was in Jumla at 0.5 degrees Celsius today.
