Early morning jolt with epicenter in Nuwakot

August 6, Kathmandu: An earthquake measuring 5.3 in the Richter scale has been felt on Saturday morning.

The epicenter of the earthquake was Belkotgarhi in Nuwakot.

According to the National Seismology and Research Center, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale occurred at 5:26 am.

The epicenter of the earthquake was around Belkotgarhi in Nuwakot district.

Dr. Mukund Bhattarai, a seismologist at the center shared that the earthquake was an aftershock of the 2015 Gorkha earthquake. The tremor was felt in Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dhading and Kathmandu valley.
