Education Minister Paudel stresses quality education

Kathmandu: Education, Science and Technology Minister Debendra Paudel says unless the quality of Tribhuban University is improved, the quality of higher education cannot be improved in the country.

Addressing a meeting of the Education and Health Committee of the parliament held at Singh Durbar on Thursday, Education Minister Paudel said there was no option but to take action against the teachers copying examination questions in TU Examination.

Tribhuwan University Vice Chancellor Dharmendra Bastola admitted repetition of the questions in the exams.

He said the university has taken action against the teacher involved in the scam barring them from teaching at any TU-affiliated colleges for three years.

The committee members also expressed a doubt that high-level officials could have been involved in the question scam.
