Line Ministers respond to concerns raised by lawmakers over their respective ministries in NA

Kathmandu: Line Ministers have responded to the concerns raised by the lawmakers over their respective ministry’s budget.

Responding to queries in deliberation under the Appropriation Bill at the National Assembly meeting on Sunday, Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu responded to the lawmakers that the government decided to reduce the price of petroleum products by adjusting the tax.

Minister Badu also vowed to monitor the market to check black marketing and unauthorized price hikes of the daily essentials.

Agriculture Minister Mahindra Raya Yadav said the ministry had been making efforts for the easy supply of chemical fertilizer to the farmers.

Forest and Environment Minister Ram Shahaya Prasad Yadav said the government was working for the sustainable management of the forest.

Likewise, Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jahakri stressed the need for developing standards for forwarding development projects.

Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Bahadur Ale said the ministry was implementing programs to make the air service safer and reliable.

Similarly, Labour, Employment, and Social Security Minister Kisaan Shrestha the government had forwarded programs to integrate the returnees from foreign employment and utilize their skills and knowledge in the country.

Education Minister Devendra Paudel has said the government has accorded first priority to carry out reforms in public schools.

Likewise, Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwor Jung Gahatraj stressed the need for prioritizing the sports sector.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala argued that the appointment of judges should be based on merit and should be carried out freely and impartially.
