Plan International launches ‘Louder than Words’on preventing and eradicating child and forced marriage in Asia Pacific

Kathamndu: The Plan International has launched a collection of testimonies on preventing and eradicating child marriage, early marriage, and forced marriage in the Asia Pacific.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the Plan International shared that it issued the collection entitled ‘Louder than Words’ in order to promote women’s empowerment and discourage child and forced marriage in the region. 

This collection features testimonies on breakthroughs and successes in preventing and stopping child, early and forced marriage across the Asia-Pacific region.

The organization shares that the collection further contributes to its efforts to build evidence on effective practice, proving that ending child marriage is possible. It is aimed to inspire practitioners and key stakeholders to step up their actions and eliminate this harmful practice for good.

Plan International has been working in Nepal since 1978 helping marginalised children, their families and communities to access their rights to survival, protection and participation.
