Balen Shah still leading as one hundred thousand votes counted in KMC elections

May 22 Kathmandu: As many as 1 thousand 6 hundred and 516 votes have been counted till Sunday noon for the local level elections of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City held on May 13.

As per the latest results, independent mayoral candidate Balendra Shah has been leading the vote count with 38,894 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh received 21,538 votes and CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit received 20,965 votes.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress candidate Bimal Kumar Hoda has been elected as the ward chairman of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 7.
