PM Deuba, UML Chairman Oli meet

February 23, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and main opposition CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli held discussions at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday evening.

PM’s press adviser Govinda Pariyar informed during the one-and-a-half hour long meeting, the US government’s MCC grant and other contemporary political issues were discussed.

On the occasion, PM Deuba had urged the main opposition party Chairman to cooperate in resuming the House proceeding and endorsing the MCC compact. The government has tabled the MCC compact in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday for the ratification process.
