UN Assistant Secretary-General calls on Ministers

Kathmandu: The visiting United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, Christian Saunders, called on with Minister for Defence Dr Minendra Rijal and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka separately today.

During the meeting, both the Ministers mentioned the glorious contribution of Nepal and the Nepali Army to the UN peacekeeping force and about the extensive and effective leadership roles in the future.

The Minister duo stressed providing opportunities to the Nepalese peacekeepers’ high positions in their work areas. They expressed their commitment to Nepal’s continued support of the UN peacekeeping missions.

The UN Assistant Secretary-General applauded the contribution of Nepal’s security forces in global peacekeeping by participating in UN peacekeeping operations.
