Young farmer in Tanahun elated by Israeli Ambassador’s visit

April 24, Damauli: Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder on Saturday made an onsite inspection of a young agricultural entrepreneur’s goat farm in Bhimad Municipality-9, Pathardi in Tanahun district.
After inspecting the goat farm of Shiva Kumar Ale, who has been raising goats commercially for several years, Ambassador Goder said that he was impressed by both the farm and the farming method.
“I was fascinated by the goat rearing done by Mr Shiva,” he said, adding that he got to see first-hand how young people are changing Nepal through agriculture.

He suggested that the agricultural profession should be both modernized and commercialized.
“Agriculture is not a hobby, it is a profession and a way of life,” Ambassador Goder said.
According to Ambassador Goder, young Nepali farmers who come to Israel via the “Earn and Learn” program are very hardworking.
Agricultural entrepreneur Ale said that he was excited and encouraged by the Israeli Ambassador’s visit.
Ale has been farming goats commercially after completing a 10-month long training program in modern agricultural technology in Israel.
Sixty other households of Pathardi have also been commercially farming goats.
By selling goats, the farmers in the area are earning around Rs 2 million annually.
The locals have also been operating homestay lodges in the village for the past two years.
