Use of face masks mandatory for devotees visiting Pashupatinath temple on Mahashivaratri

March 10, Kathmandu: The Pashupati Area Development Trust has made the use of facemasks mandatory for all the devotees visiting the Pashupatinaath temple on Mahashivaratri Day.

In press meet organized at Pashupati Temple premises ton Tuesday, Member Secretary of the Trust Dr Pradeep Dhakal said considering the risk of Covid-19, the trust had issued health protocol urging people to keep safe distance, use sanitizer and wear facemasks.

Dr Dhakal further informed that on Shivaratri Day, all four doors of the temple would remain open from 4 am and the provision of having special worship and pass system with higher payment had been removed.
