Schools in Shuklaphanta shut for 10 days

Teaching and learning has been shut for 10 days in the schools operated in Shuklaphanta municipality with the rise in the transmission of coronavirus.

An executive meeting of the municipality has decided to close down the community and institutional schools for 10 days from December 10-20. Earlier, the schools which were closed for a long spell of time had come into operation since December 6.

The municipality took the decision to shut the schools after eight people tested positive for coronavirus in wards 5 and 6 and one among them died due to the infection.

The Municipality sources said, the schools have been closed due to fear of possible transmission of the virus among the students, teachers and staffs.
