Prepare for the cold session : Home Minister Thapa

Kathmandu- Minister for Home Affairs Ram BhadaurThapa has stressed on the need to adopt effective measures to tackle the winter-related problems.

Speaking in the 9th meeting of the National Disaster Reduction and Management Committee on Tuesday, Minister Thapa directed the concerned bodies to make effective preparations to lessen the impact caused by these adverse situations during the winter season.

Home Minister Thapa added that snowfall and cold wave adversely affects the normal life of the people across the country in winter season therefore precaution should be adopted.

He also stated that the present situation is more complicated this year due to COVID-19 pandemic, therefore extra measures should be adopted.

Minister for Federal Affairs Hridayesh Tripathi, Minister for Urban Development Krishna Gopal Shrestha, secretaries at different ministries were present in the meeting.
