I tendered resignation the moment candidate for Speaker was fixed, says Tumbahangfe     

Deputy Speaker of parliament, Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahangfe, tendered her resignation from her post following the finalization of the candidate for House Speaker on Monday.

Talking to journalists at Parliament Building at New Baneshower in Kathmandu immediately after announcing her resignation from her post in the meeting of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tumbahangfe said that she made the move to pave the way for the election of the Speaker after Communist Party asked her to vacate the post.

She asserted that she had been leading the House of Representatives with the rights enshrined by the constitution since the post of Speaker remained vacant on October 1 last year.
