Government of Nepal expresses deepest grief over demise of UK Queen Elizabeth II

Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has expressed its deepest grief over the demise of the UK’s monarch Queen Elizabeth II.

Unveiling the decisions of the 9^th September’s cabinet meeting on Sunday, Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the government extended condolences to the Royal Family of Britain, the Government of Britain, and the British people in the period of grief.

The cabinet meeting also decided to observe three days of the mourning period flying the national flag at half-mast in government offices and Nepali embassies and missions abroad.
