Supreme Court denies to issue interim order on CCTV camera footage

July 16, Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) has said it cannot be even speculated that the Ministry of Finance CCTV footage is deleted so it is not necessary to issue interim order to this effect.

A single bench of SC Justice Kumar Regmi on Friday said it could be fairly believed that CCTVs installed at Ministry of Finance and other ministries within the country’s central chief administrative building premises were protected.

The interim order was not considered necessary noting it was even beyond speculation that the footage were eliminated from the system in view of security sensitivity inside the Singha Durbar.
