NOC hikes petro fuel price by 10 Rupees per liter

May 15, Kathmandu: The Nepal Oil Corporation, has hiked price of petroleum products by 10 Rupees per liter. This has come into effect from Saturday midnight.
As per the adjusted price, petrol is sold for 170 Rupees per liter and diesel and kerosene for 153 Rupees per liter each. However, the price of LP gas and aviation fuel has remained unchanged.
As claimed, the Corporation has been incurring a loss of 23.2 Rupees in petrol per liter, 40.13 Rupees per liter in diesel, and 1050.8 Rupees per liter in each LP gas cylinder, according to a statement issued on Saturday. It however has a profit of Rs 2.81 in kerosene per liter and Rs 12.64 and Rs 64.69 respectively in domestic and international aviation fuel. The total loss the Corporation has been incurring stood at around Rs 5.1 billion in every fortnight.
