Five people died and 18 injured in a road accident in Kavrepalanchowk

Five persons were killed and 18 others injured when two vehicles collided on the BP Highway at Roshi Rural Municipality -11 of Kavrepalanchok this afternoon.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Hari Khatiwada, a force vehicle carrying an Indian pilgrim from Kathmandu and a Tata Sumo heading to Kathmandu from Sindhuli collided head-on with each other at Badhuveshi in Roshi Rural Municipality-11.

The deceased have been identified as Bikram Shrestha, of Sindhuli Kamalamai Municipality-7, Hari Bahadur Bal, of the same municipality, Pramila Nepali of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-1, and Khadadevi of Ramechhap district.  

According to police, 18 persons were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

Police have taken both the vehicles under control and are conducting further investigation into the incident.
