World Press Freedom day being marked across the globe

May 3, Kathmandu: World Press Freedom Day is being marked across the globe including Nepal amind various programs
The United Nations General Assembly in 1993 A.D had declared May 3 as the World Press Freedom Day after the recommendation of UNESCO general convention in 1991 A.D.
House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has said free press is the pillar of democracy.
Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day today, Speaker Sapkota argued that press had played significant role to prosper democratic values.
