All political parties should contest in election: Minister Khand

April 19, Kathmandu: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has urged all political parties to contest in the upcoming May 13 local election so as to make the federal democratic republic further effective.

Emerging from a meeting with Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, spokesperson of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplov’, in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, Minister Khand appealed to all the political parties to participate in the upcoming poll to further institutionalize the federal democratic republic.

Stating that the local level election would connect the general public with the local government, the Minister viewed that the people’s representatives would play an important role in local development and those elected from the upcoming election should further work to develop their constituency.
