Filling up self-declaration form mandatory for people taking individual labour permit for foreign employment

April 9, Kathmandu: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has made a provision for filling up a self-declaration form by people taking individual labour permits for foreign employment.
The Department’s new provision came after cases of cheating and overcharging the service fees in the name of visit visas and foreign employment were reported.
The Director-General of DoFE, Shesh Narayan Poudel, said that individuals going to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Croatia, Albania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia Hungary, Moldova and Belarus on visit visas or individual labour permits were required to fill out a self-declaration form from April 14.
Likewise, DoFE will issue labour permits through an online system from April 15 that was earlier institutionally issued by the manpower agencies.
