Supreme Court issues show-cause notice relating to appointments in constitutional bodies

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has issued a show-cause notice after hearing the case filed against the appointments of officials in the constitutional bodies.

The joint bench of justices led by Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Kari including the Justices Meera Khadka, Hari Krishna Karki, Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha and Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada sought a written reply from the defendants regarding the constitutional bodies’ appointments. 

Earlier Advocates Ganesh Regmi and Deepak Bikram Mishra had filed a writ demanding suspension of the case in absence of chief justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR. However, the bench annulled the writ and headed the hearing.
