Supreme Court quashes case filed against government decision of declaring local level elections

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has quashed the case filed against the government decision of declaring the local level elections for May 13.

Registrar of the court Narayan Prasad Panthi annulled the write claiming the government had announced the election date as per the existing law.

Sanjeeb Kumar Shah of Vangaha Municipality-2 in Mahottari had filed a case in Supreme Court claiming the local level officials would not get full five years term after the government declared the local level election.
