Nepal reports 1167 cases of Covid in past 24 hours

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has said covid-19 cases have started to rise in Nepal again.

The Ministry also urged all to adopt high precautions to contain the virus and stay safe.

Chief Executive Officer of the Central Covid-19 Unified Hospital, Prof. Doctor Bhupendra Kumar Basnet said the hospitalization rate and death rate from Covid infection had doubled from this week compared to the last week.

Prof. Dr Basnet further said preparations were being made to manage necessary resources in all the Unified Covid Hospitals as the number of infections had increased across the country.

Meanwhile, a total of 11 hundred and 67 cases of Covid 19 have been confirmed in Nepal today.

According to the health ministry, the cases were confirmed while testing 12 thousand 6 hundred and 32 samples.

Likewise, 2 hundred and 24 people recovered from the Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours.  

The Ministry also reported 2 corona related deaths today, taking the total corona related deaths to 11 thousand 6 hundred and 4 in the country.
