Government withdraws Electricity Bill from National Assembly

Kathmandu: The government has withdrawn the under consideration Electricity Bill from the National Assembly.

The proposal presented by Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Pumpha Bhusal for the withdrawal was unanimously passed by the National Assembly meeting on Friday.

After the endorsement of the proposal, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina announced the withdrawal of the bill.

Earlier in the National Assembly meeting, lawmakers urged the government to carry out market monitoring, and take effective measures to contain dengue infections.
