June 26, Kathmandu: Medical doctors and people’s representatives have urged the guardians not to allow children to indulge on digital screens. They said children’s psychosocial and physical developments are hampered by excessive exposure to digital screens.

Launching a campaign, ‘Discourage Children to use smart phone and TV’ on Saturday, the doctors associated with the Rotary E-Club of Medicofusion Hybrid Nepal, viewed the children had experienced negative impacts of smart phone and TV screening.

Dr. Santosh Pokhrel said Club would launch a digital awareness campaign with the collaboration of various municipalities in Rupandehi district.

Dr. Pokhrel informed that the children with a splurge on digital screen may face problems, such as sleeplessness, anorexia, autism, quick temperament, quarrelsome nature, weakness in study, eye illness and detachment from family members/relatives.
