Nepal and China sign nine Memoranda of Understanding

Kathmandu: Nepal and China have signed nine different memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on mutual cooperation.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi today.

The MoU related to financial and technical support was signed by Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini on behalf of Nepal while the Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi signed the MoU on behalf of China.

Likewise, MoU on the feasibility study of transmission lines was signed by the Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Devendra Karki and Chinese ambassador Yanqi on behalf of their respective countries.

Similarly, Secretary at the Agriculture and Livestock Development Ministry Niru Dahal Pandey and Chinese ambassador Yanqi signed a memorandum of Understating on running Agriculture Development projects in Nepal.

Likewise, a memorandum of understanding related to the feasibility study of the Nepal China railway and Handover of Araniko Highway, and a letter of exchange related to the export of goods produced in Nepal to China were also signed by both sides.

Similarly, the MoU on service to be provided by Chinese health workers in Nepal was also signed by both sides.
