CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Thapa passes away

Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Dr Duman Thapa passed away last night. He was 62.

A patient of renal disease, Dr Thapa died at HAMS Hospital at Mandikhatar while under treatment, CPN (Unified Socialist) party central member Mohan Gautam said.

Dr Thapa was the member of the party’s election commission. A PhD in Agriculture Science from the USA, he was elected to the Constituent Assembly –II from Arghakhanchi constituency-2.

His last rites would be performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat today.
