UML demand meaningless: Chair Nepal

Kathmandu: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has viewed his team registered the new political party in line with the constitution and law. Chairman Nepal said his party CPN (Unified Socialist) was moving ahead based on the laws pertaining to party division and Supreme Court precedents.

Nepal said it while exiting from the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday. In response to a question on the CPN UML’s protest against non-implementation of its recommendation of action on his party leaders, Chairman Nepal observed, “It counts nothing; it is meaningless.”

The Nepal-led group had split the CPN UML as per Ordinance on Political Party, 2078 and got registered as CPN (Unified Socialist) as a new political party on August 25.
