VP Yadav extends greetings on Mahavir Jayanti
Kathmandu, April 10: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has extended best wishes to all the people from the Jain community on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of the Jain religion, Mahavir.
In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of the 2624th anniversary of the 24th Tirthankar of the Jain religion, Mahavir, Vice-President Yadav shared that the life of Mahavir gives a message of non-violence, truth, compassion and equality.
He expressed the belief that this day helps spread peace, harmony and friendship in the entire human life. “This day provides an opportunity to strengthen social unity, religious tolerance and cultural norms”, reads the message.
The Vice-President opined, “Mahavir propounded principles–truth, non-violence, celibacy, infallibility and non-aggression which inspire us to move towards building a socially and culturally beautiful country and society.”
