Light to moderate rainfall likely in Sindhupalchowk

Kathmandu, June 18: Though there is an influence of monsoon in Sindhupalchowk and its upper basin area, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall because the influence is weak, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the Department stated that there is a possibility of moderate rainfall based on the analysis of weather patterns.

Meanwhile, the District Administration Office, Sindhupalchowk, has urged all those living in and around the coastal areas of Bhotekoshi and Sunkoshi rivers to adopt precautions, based on the information received from the police office in China, which has predicted heavy rainfall in Tibet.

The Department shared that it has been continuously monitoring the weather conditions and floods in the present condition, where there is an influence of monsoon. It would continuously update the information about the weather and floods.

It has urged the people there to adopt precautions based on the updated information.
