Foreign Minister holds separate meetings with Ministers of Mauritius, Singapore

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal held separate meetings with ministers of Mauritius and Singapore on the sidelines of the 9th Indian Ocean Conference.

Minister Khanal is currently in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius, attending the conference.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khanal met with Mauritius Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade Dhananjay Ramful, and Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Social and Family Development Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, separately.

During the meetings, discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding regional cooperation, and promoting shared interests between the countries.

Issues related to mutual welfare and engagement in regional platforms were also discussed, the Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry stated that the meetings are expected to further enhance diplomatic ties and cooperation between Nepal and the two countries.
