Curfew lifted in Rajbiraj, Bodebarsain; prohibitory order remains in force

Rajbiraj: The District Administration Office in Saptari has lifted the curfew in Rajbiraj and Bodebarsain municipalities and replaced it with a prohibitory order.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the District Security Committee, according to Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa.

Under the new order, gatherings, assemblies, sit-ins and demonstrations involving more than five people are prohibited until further notice.

The District Administration Office has urged the public not to violate the order, which has been issued under Section 6(3A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 B.S.

Authorities have also appealed to residents to remain patient and cooperate in maintaining peace, security and social harmony in the district.
