Over 2,000 Apply for Election Police in Makwanpur

Bagmati, Jan 16: More than 2,000 individuals have submitted applications to serve as election police in Makwanpur district for the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati said the District Police Office had targeted the recruitment of 1,923 temporary security personnel. However, a total of 2,266 applications were received, including 1,602 from men and 664 from women.

Meanwhile, two election officer offices have been established in the district to facilitate election-related operations.
