Nepal defeats Sri Lanka in Women U-20 SAFF Championship

Kathmandu: Nepal secured an astounding 7-0 victory against Sri Lanka in a match of the ongoing SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship held today at the Basundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Sri Lanka with the same margin of 7-0 in the first match. With today’s victory, Nepal gained 9 points while Sri Lanka is pointless after four matches.

Nepal’s Kusum Khatiwada and Samikshya Magar scored two goals each, while Purnima Rai, Birsana Chaudhary and Sarita Nath contributed one goal each for their team. Nepal is scheduled to play against Bhutan on Saturday.
